Campus Crusade for Christ ---- Cru
Cru is a community which captures hearts, transforms lives, and launches men and women into a lifelong adventure with Jesus Christ. This is Campus Crusade for Christ's (Cru) mission statement to it's members. Cru's goal is to reach out to as many people as possible to spread the good news about Jesus Christ's perfect life, crucifixion, and the price he paid for each and every one of us as sinners.
Cru has weekly meetings that include worship, a message from a guest speaker or staff member, and more worship. There are weekly activities put on by the Community Team with the additional weekend activities for holidays. Members of Cru can go to football games together, camp in Paternoville, meet at the Lion Shrine at Midnight to pray together, go canning for THON, or join Bible Studies to learn more about God's word.
Cru was where I met most of my friends last year, and I am so thankful for the openness and loving arms of the people in this organization. I would have had a miserable experience last year if I had not joined Cru.
Penn State's Marching Blue Band
I am a member of the Blue Band here at Penn State and I absolutely love it. Blue Band has given me a way to meet new people who love music. We are all dedicated to the organization and we have pride in what we do. There is no greater feeling than stepping out onto the field for the Pregame show in front of a stadium of over 100,000 screaming fans who love us. We are supported at home and on the road. I've been given such an amazing opportunity to be a part of such a beloved organization.
